“Evening Sonata”

Misty scenes intrigue me. They can be mysterious, silent, and secretive. We were in Stonington Maine, when we saw the restaurant next to our hotel, all lit up coming out of the mist. I love the disappearing horizon, the buildings that are shadows of what they are during the day. You can see the reflection of the buildings and lights in the calm water. I added the swan to the scene to make it complete.

In this, and all of my paintings I have placed my husband’s and my initials, (J+S) somewhere in the piece. See if you can find them.
