A Quintessential Fall by Kyle Sims

A Quintessential Fall

I've attempted a similar sort of scene with elk, but in a much more horizontal-based

design. So I tried to make more of a square-based design work for this trio to see if I

could pull it off as well. Whether or not I have, of course, is entirely up to you.

I basically planted the trees and suckers where I pleased, having fun with textures, glazes,

and dry-brushing along the way. What is also different about this piece from the elk is

that I thought it might be a bit amusing to have the calf displaying that curious

appearance that youngsters of many species tend to exude.
